Macquarie University's Vice Chancellor's Office approached Syntonic to extend the functionality of their current blog by adding streaming video, comments, category tags and social networking functionality.

The administration interface had to be powerful, yet easy to use. Each video had various content elements and comments that needed to be approved before going live, as well as links created to other films, writings and podcasts by the Vice Chancellor. The solution also had to work within Macquarie University's extensive IT architecture and security policies.

The end result certainly had the desired effect - with each video release, Macquarie's traffic spiked with viewers from around the world. It also helped promote discussion on the various topics raised by the Vice Chancellor.
